How to Do Some Dark Magic on the Console?

How would I keep one or two lines on top of the console at all times?  Like a banner or menu of sorts.

Use the screen class instead of the console class.

I just meant a general console interface. How would I go about doing it with screen?

Look at the console plug source for an exampmle.

ok. can i also get the current pos of the cursor with the screen class?

No, because it has no concept of that. Thats something the Console plugs
define.
