Is it possible to make an .iso to boot your OS to your computer/laptop?

Yah. Just get a blank disk. Right click on the .iso file and select "disk image" and you will get options on how to burn that to a disk. After that, take the disk and run it on your computer from boot up by pressing f12 during the bios startup. Select the disk for boot options and run it.
